If you haven't heard by now, M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender was an epic fail. I went to see it in spite of all the warnings from my friends. Part of me died because of his blatant disrespect for the cartoon and all its fans. It made some decent money in the theaters, but that is ONLY because people thought it would be good. I can't begin to express all the ways it missed the mark. It is a shame that the greatest cartoon ever made will have this stain of a live action movie to associate with it. This review by Amrit Maharaj does a better job of explaining the failure from a fan's perspective. Click HERE to read it.

Want to see something ironic? The outcome of the movie was predicted in the cartoon itself. This is a clip from an actual episode, with a cool composite. A friend of mine sent me this link. Keep your eyes on the poster/scroll.
Show the guy who made this clip some love.
Thanks for the article, Kevin. This is why I am NOT supporting the movie and I AM supporting the Boycott.
ReplyDeleteTotally. I went to see it out of loyalty for the cartoon. I felt like I had to in a way since I am a big fan. However, after leaving the theater, I really could have done without it.
